Furniture Design
web portfolio

Working to build a portfolio is basically creating an identity for a designer and their work combined. Utilizing what assets they have and creatively displaying it across screens. Working with Juyun was great, there was plenty of assets and details to display, which made my job easier. Furniture was a great medium to layout. There were drawings, photographs, paragraphs explaining functions and creative liberties.

The website highlights and expresses Juyun's intent as a furniture designer. Displaying his 3D models that I turned into basic polygonal icons in blender.

Following Juyuns manifesto, I wanted to play with the space on the website, using 2D and 3D assets interacting with the viewer.

Some of the challenges faced was consistency, throughout the pages, spacing between the deliverables, and of course file size not taking too much memory from computers.

Manifesto of a Procedural Language

A fun project collaboration was the "Manifesto of a Procedural Language" booklet. This collaboration was set to creatively display a procedural language using experimental shapes resulting in a unique and successful library of furniture.

3d rENDERS

Utilizing the libraries of procedural furniture. I developed a 3D virtual photography studio in Blender, created a procedural texture to replicate paper pulp. And rendered each one with a high def HDRI to create real world lighting. The goal of this was to replicate realistic studio photography using natural lighting, and fluorescent lighting. Making the images seemless like actual photography I fabricated human error, camera opics, random mistakes that would be seen on actual paper pulp molds.
